    A Couple More Heron Pics

    It is amazing the difference the lighting makes when it's just right. I think these look good, but are a little flat compaired to the one's with the right light. The last one is just as the good light was fading away.

    Flying birds are always tricky as it is usually necessary to obtain a compromise between over exposed highlights and dark shadows. Far too often the background is the 'wrong colour'; and there is frequently a shortage of thinking time.

    The third photo is excellent with a good all round composition.

    A little flat? I think they all look just fine, and that's putting it mildly. I agree with Wendy, heck, I'd be beeming with pride if they were mine! Well done, again!

    I actually like 1 the best. Against that background the bird in flight almost takes on a three dimensional appearance. Seems to pop right off my monitor.
