Re: Early Summer in Ireland
Hi Marie. I can't see your images. Did you copy and paste the link into your post while uploading ? If you didn't , you have to. Otherwise the images can't be seen.

Re: Early Summer in Ireland
Nice series Marie. The Fuji certainly delivers. I particularly like the first two and the last one.

Re: Early Summer in Ireland
The series is such a nice way to introduce yourself. The first and last photos are my favorites.
Consider cropping the top of the first one to eliminate about half of the sky. It would have been nicer in the last one if you could have gotten low enough to the ground to put at least a little space between the horizon and the foreground tree branches.

Re: Early Summer in Ireland
Lovely images Marie and welcome to CiC! These fine images tell me that you have a good eye for composition.
I suspect that if you put a '[' just before the 'IMG]http://i60.tinypic.com/1586tlg.jpg[/IMG]', you may have another image to display.
If you can return to the location of the last shot, you might try shooting from a slightly lower position so that the tree branches don't cover the island and the island has a little breathing space above it.

Re: Early Summer in Ireland
Thanks Mike - have cropped as you suggested and it does indeed look better. I discovered when reviewing that particular shot that I had by accident knocked the switch at the side of the camera from AF to manual mode and was surprised at the fairly good result.
Regarding the last shot - from memory - it wasn't possible to get down much lower to the ground unless I scrambled over a ditch and I'm not that nimble any more!!

Re: Early Summer in Ireland
Thanks Frank and so happy to being 'on board' CiC as I have so much to learn. Not sure yet how to edit my posted photos so may not be able to insert the '[' as suggested!! However, I do intend posting new shots again soon.
Agree totally with your suggestion regarding the last shot but unfortunately it's about 300 miles away from me so not planning on returning there soon. Mike also agrees with you so please see my reply to him regarding the composition!!
