Well, it was blending in ... I almost trod on it, so close was its colouring to the surrounding rock. So I have tried to separate it from the background with curves, contrast, blur, and a radial filter. The photo was taken in spring (6 months ago) so the subject is still shedding.

Nicely captured. The same thing happened to me a few years ago. At the last moment the lizard decided to make room.

Hi Greg
Very nice details on the lizard. The blue thing on the right side is distracting. May be you can desaturate it selectively or do something else with PP to eliminate it.
