Thread: Liquid Backgrounds

    Liquid Backgrounds

    These images are a long way off being interesting or even competently done but I thought I would share the concept. Shallow tray with about 5mm water the water being coloured with food dye. Waves are created with a ruler.

    I'm probably being very dim, but what is that white object? Lovely blues, and nice water patterns.

    The white object is a G4 vintage Mac mouse. It came with the G4 Imac (probably one the the most stylish computers every built - certainly in 2002 anyway). The mouse has popped its clogs but the 8 year old Mac is still running well as the day I bought it. I has never crashed, never needed to close due to a 'fatal error' and was only ever switched off when we decorated. I am 2 generations of mac on now but I love that G4

    Hi, Steve;

    I like 1 & 3 a lot. I like the water in 1 better, because it has more complex patterns and ripples, with nice highlights, but the scrapes and logo on the mouse are a little distracting. That's fixed nicely in 3.

    Cheers,
    Rick
