Re: Four Pelicans and a Heron...
They are all sharp and clear but the first one is positively regal Joe!

Re: Four Pelicans and a Heron...
Hi Joe,
All lovely. I love all the pelican images and also the heron shot (beautiful, gorgeous detail and what an expression)... However, the 2nd and 3rd shots are my favourites for the incredibly beautiful detail and amazing captures.
The 2nd is my all time favourite pelican shot of yours - (perhaps all)... Truly amazing to capture that moment with such beauty and detail.

Re: Four Pelicans and a Heron...
Nice series of the pelicans. That first one is terrific. Cool shot of the GBH and gar.

Re: Four Pelicans and a Heron...
Nice set, Joe. No.2 is awesome. I guess the GBH is getting his shots in at the gar population before they get too big. It's amazing at the things birds will eat and how adaptable they are. There is a photog on another forum who routinely posts images of herons/egrets making in flight captures of fish downstream of a dam. Amazing learned behavior for wading birds.

Re: Four Pelicans and a Heron...
Hi Joe: Thanks for continuing to make my day by posting your sea bird shots. Number 2 is particularly stunning and I love the little drops of water coming off the feet.

Thank you all for viewing and commenting, your interest is greatly appreciated. To Leslie who asked what lens I used... it was a Nikon 70-300mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF. Thanks again folks.
