    Awwww....don't be like that. It is only a spent flower....I like the mono treatment but I prefer the coloured one for its cleaner look. Hmm...I like both of them really -- the mono has the grungy look treatment. Are you feeling grungy today?

    These plants are always a good subject matter I've found. I like the dark mysterious one best, goes with the title of image/post better at thought.

    Good concept, Jon, I like the use of negative space in the first shot and the mono conversion of the 2nd. I wonder though, if you might have made your statement more forcefully with a little pre-captured gardening. eg delicately removing all but one of the florets.

    I really like the tinted monochrome image and agree with others that it matches your title well. BTW, I think that only one floret would have looked much more contrived so I like it as is.

    It is hump day, may the downside of the week only get better for you!
