    Tree+Shed+EveningLight=Picture

In a conscious effort to simplify and reduce competing elements in my photos I've come up with this one. Processing the sky was a challenge. At that time of day the and looking in the direction I was pointed there was very little color. I've brought up the blue a bit but really felt it wouldn't work to push it too far. C&C solicited and always welcome.
    Thanks,
    Andrew

It looks like you've achieved your goals Andrew. A pleasant image indeed with good compositional elements brought nicely together.

Nice, that elevated section of land creates a distracting line across the image.

Thank you Frank! This one was particularly satisfying because the finished product is what I imagined when I took the photograph. I got involved in this site a year ago with the intent of learning "to take pictures on purpose". Your suggestions and guidance to myself and numerous others has helped me in achieving that. It's a simple image that isn't going to rock the world of photography but it is an achievement for me.

Interesting that you see it that way. I thought the curving line across the image created by the elevated land added a slightly dynamic aspect to an otherwise very static image. I've got some other shots from that location. I'll have another look at them with your comment in mind.

    Thanks,

    Andrew

Andrew - How one sees the impact of that elevated land I guess depends on whether or not you intended a minimalist approach, as I'm not really a minimalist, I prefer it there.

Completely agreed. I'm referring to all of your goals stated so far throughout the thread, not just in the first post.

Minimalism, unlike pregnancy, comes in degrees. The lines in the foreground are attractive for me and are in keeping with the minimalistic approach. The image would be more minimalistic without them but not necessarily better.

Hmmm....pretty much of what I wanted to say has already been said by Frank...so let me add that no adjective can described the satisfaction of being able to achieve your goal.
