I missed it...what is the recipe? Looks like it works.![]()
I think I missed it too?? I must look for it in the threads. There is certainly a great improvement in the processing. The white flowers really "pop", but I find the floating branch a bit disconcerting.
A striking image Binnur! Like Susan, I'm not sure about the branch floating in air. I'll have to contemplate that part for a bit.
I think Binnur may be referring to this tutorial Marie posted on how she creates her 'blackground'.
Nice, very nice! I like it.![]()
Nicely done, first is very dramatic.
Very very nice but I have the same reservations over the branch seemingly floating in mid air.
Very nice Binnur. A quick crop will take crd of the floating branch![]()
Very nice edit Binnur!
Hello everybody, sorry for being late but I wasn't online and busy with something elseFrank already gave you the related thread for the recipe , but in case some people can't notice, it is here Easy and cheap blackground - for Isabel
Thank you for all your comments , I'm glad you liked the image and thank you Marie again![]()
If you look at the original, the branch is long actually, so I can re-edit the image and leave the branch as it is. There is a move tool in PS, so I might as well try that tool to move the image a bit upwards as well, it might give a better look.
As usual, I am late to this party too...this is superb editing Binnur. I am very glad you have all your antennas working and was listening to our teachers (Marie and Frank) here...I have not done anything yet to any image even though her recipe was dedicated to me. 'Busy with life for the time being...
White works well with your shot. I must remember that...especially white. I cannot compete with you, guys...Have to get on my horse the next few days to keep up with you...Others have already commented on the floating stick no point in mentioning that anymore. I say keep up the good work, Binnur. You are a good student...

Very pretty! Thank you for sharing. I have yet to try creating a black background but one day I will.
PS Thank you for asking all those questions about post processing. I'm learning from your threads.![]()
Nice work, Binnur. I think you did a good job of turning that branch into a fragment; the ends look very real to me. I don't mind it floating in space; I don't think that is much different to the floating glasses and bottles in Terry's pictures.
Hi Binnur,
Nice job here in post. These look awesome on black. The lighting on them is very nice and really shines on black.
I know this is purely personal preference but I don’t see a problem with this shot “floating” myself. I like it. But again that is purely a preference.
What I would be concerned about if this were mine is that it looks a bit tight to my eye on the bottom. In fact, too close to the frame. At least relative to the rest of the frame.
But, and here is the beauty of what you have done with your black BG. It could be very easily changed if you were of a mind to.
You could put it anywhere you wanted on a black canvas and crop it any way you wanted. Including doing any rotation you wanted (if you wanted) or whatever you wanted.![]()
Yay, Binnur!!!!
One of the joys of posting a how-to, is seeing that others can reproduce your work without difficulty.
So very nice. The whites just pop. The colors are beautiful. I hope it was as easy for you to do as it is for me.
Marie
Thank you very much everybody, I'm glad you liked the image
Marie, because I'm learning PS CC , I don't hesitate to try a lot of functions in the software. So this has been a very useful practise for me. Thanks again for sharing your valuable knowledge
Terry, there is a move tool in PS and I will try to move the branch upwards.
Here’s another way to go about it Binnur:
Open your black BG image in PS.
Image>Canvas Size. I chose “Percent” to determine the new size canvas and went with 200%. Canvas extension color black (at the bottom).
From here easy to re-crop, rotate, whatever your little Heart desires!
Anyway, just one way to go about it. Easy, quick, and effective due to the black BG.![]()
Terry, how did you do a danged screen shot?
Marie
