Re: Your reviews on the sigma 70-300 dg os
You used it so you know it is fairly light weight, and the optical stabilization is very good but a bit noisy. I was surprised at how there is no evidence of camera shake at 300 mm even with exposures as short as 1/90. I am using it on a full frame Canon 6D and have been satisfied. The pictures are about as sharp (wide open at f/4.5) as 100 mm as my Canon 24-105 L - subjectively, have not done any detailed analysis. I don't have any other lenses above 105 to compare it with for longer focal lengths. The autofocus works well but can be a little slow at 300 mm, but maybe that is par for the course with shallow depth of field. I have had it for about a year and had no problems but do not use it extensively.

Re: Your reviews on the sigma 70-300 dg os
I have owned a Sigma 70-300mm APO macro 4-5.6D for over 20 years. It has been an extremely useful lens and has performed well. I had to get the macro (normal -full) limit switch replaced after it got damaged about 15 years ago. No problems since. On a Nikon F90x film camera it was used in conjunction with a Nikon 24-120mm and they made a very good travelling kit.
Now I use a Sigma 15-30mm and a Nikon 28-300mm most of the time but I still occasionally use the Sigma 70-300mm in macro for flower shots etc.
