    Something different!

    Took this with a telescope and 550D in movie crop mode and then stacked betwen 600 - 700 frames to obtain these images. I hope this is some way connected with nature photography.

    It is nice to be able to do this shot...but that may mean more expenses to take care of...and less time sleeping...

    Dan, stacking is necessary as the frame to frame signal / resolution is weak. It is quite possible to take a single shot but that would require another process which is known as eyepiece projection which is difficult.

    Izzie, for planetary or lunar, it does not take long to set up and image, only deep space involves lots of integration time. However I still prefer to do this on weekends.
