Lion
I waited for two hours for this lion to move, I had patiently waited while he slept off the previous evenings jaunt. I took two pictures and this was the better.
All C&C most welcome

Re: Lion
Great shot Clive! The lion moving into the screen works well.

Re: Lion
Oho Clive,
There is no Lion like a Kgalagadi Lion!
Those colours are perfect.

Re: Lion
Looked at it earlier on another monitor and thought it looked great. But wanted to wait until I got home to my own monitor.
It is great!
Exposure perfect. Composition great. Subject magnificent.

Re: Lion
Great shot Clive; although I guess you are in a decent location for this type of shot.
I remember sitting around for close to an hour in the heat, waiting for a large cat to come out of hiding in a thorn bush, when we were in Namibia. I can just imagine the thrill when the lion finally got up and started walking. Great timing for a great shot!

Re: Lion
Looks like your wait paid off. It's a really nice shot. Very powerful animal, I wouldn't want to get any closer to him.

Re: Lion
Thank you all for the positive comments and time taken to view.
I was in the Trans-Kalahari for seven days, saw lions every day and only kept five images out of which I might keep two. As you know they spend a lot of time lying about. I paid my dues waiting for this one, but a bad day in the bush is better than a good day in the office.
