Christina, that pink sky was only apparent for a very short time so at least I now know to be ready and prepared for it. With regard to the sharpness when I first looked at the RAW files I was a bit disappointed with them although I had done everything possible for a sharp capture but once worked using my standard CSM sharpening procedure I was happy.
Grahame
very well executed shots Grahame, each imparts two different emotions..shot #1 gives me that "sinking" feeling, a melancholy or sadness..(that's what i feel seeing a derelict boat add to that that tone of your sky) shot #2 with its sunshine, suggest a buoyant spirit of a new day..keep shootin' Grahame and inspire others![]()
To the contrary, the haze is preventing you from obtaining detail because the haze obscures the detail that otherwise would have been in your capture. This is one of the few situations in which haze actually works to our advantage. If all three layers had displayed the same amount of detail, I don't think the three layers would have been apparent; instead, there would have been three mountain ridges displayed at the same level of detail, which is not necessarily better.
