I've completed draft one of the black and white photo I was colorizing and I'm pleased with the results. Naturally, it's not perfect and I may have some colors wrong, but I call it creative license.
I started off with a pure black and white image which, to me, made it too perfect. So, I added a slight color cast in the warm spectrum to give the photo some age. Coloring the ground was easier than I thought and I was delighted with the result of it. The trees and sky were a little more difficult and I was busy keeping them apart so they didn't clash. I did use the sky color to darken the distant forest on the right, which worked well.
