    A re-edit

I decided to re-edit a few photos tonight, to see what I could get out of them after looking at them with a fresher eye.

Here is the one I have finished so far.

    Original edit:
    A re-edit

    Re-Edit:
    A re-edit

    Think it's an improvement?

Ah, and of course after I post, I realize that I need to tweak the white balance some. Oh well, other than that, improved?

Kim...I love this place and I love the way you took this shot...yes, the re-edit is perfect for me...I am not much of a fan of long exposure on water and this one definitely did not have that. I like the splash very much and the effect of the little one at the back too. Beautiful....simply beautiful. At least this is just one opinion -- mine. I grew up around sceneries like this which I frequent each day and watched it from my lounge room window in the past and did my kids...it brings back memories, happy memories...

Yes I would definitely have cropped, Kim, but I would have probably have done it differently. No two people see exactly the same scene.

Crop from the bottom for sure, but I rather like the headlands on the right. And it would look good to have the breaker left of centre. So I would have removed the same amount from the bottom and left side. Although possibly a fraction could be lost from the right.

Whether you keep the sky is a matter of personal choice; but if you do leave it, straighten the horizon.

And another personal opinion. I always like to see surf strong and sharp; just like this shot.

I like your crop,I would also try cropping the sky and just a little bit from the bottom and cloning out the leftovers of green
