    Mr.Photomatix

A found an article that might interest those who like HDR. It was written by Jacques Joffre aka the dad of photomatix.

    Here's the link

    Have a guess :)

Interesting. The result has me somewhat confused; yes, the technique has resulted in an image with much less shadow noise -- but IMO it's none-the-less still an awful looking result (far too flat). I would have thought that if they're going to go to all the trouble of shooting the images for the demo then they'd at least come up with a "wow" result instead of one that suggests "if this is the result we get then why bother trying".

Yes, I agree. I suppose they could have chosen something with more of a wow factor. Its probably got more to do with the technique than anything else. The outbackphoto blog - as I understand it - is more about the technical side of things.

    Still worth a share IMO

Yeah, there's a minor bug with the (generic) forum software; any link that is also the last line of a post doesn't look like a link, easily fixed by adding a new line with something on it below (as I have edited the post)

    Cheers, Dave

My apologies re the link - I thought "here's the link" would suffice

Thanks for the making the changes to my post, I will try and make it a little more evident if I find something else of interest.
