Lovely lighting. What is your own opinion of the picture, Dennis?

    Thank you.

I think that I could have made a better composition in camera. Would have liked more foreground. I had to do a creative crop to eliminate 1/3 frame of sky.

But with the lighting I am pleased. ( 2 minutes at f16 ) that long exposure was necessary to get the smooth watersurface. And to eliminate boats which were passing by.

    Rotterdam reflections

This picture was taken 25 minutes before the picture above. I do like the composition of this one better.

I would agree. It, too, is a very good image.

The only 'problem' is, I think, the harbour wall cutting across the bottom left corner. Maybe it either needed to be excluded altogether (a difficult composition to make) or it needed to become a much prominent part of the image. At the moment it looks as if it is there because there was no way to exclude it.

I can see your point there Donald. It was indeed a compromise. Left next to the harbourwall were some not very pleasing objects that I had to exclude. And I guess I did not want to give away too much of the bridge and the water. I will probably go to that spot again and try to get it better.

    Thanks for your input.

That's nice. The bollard bottom left intrudes but the colours and exposure are spot on.
