Eastern Meadowlark
I have been hoping to photograph this bird since first seeing it. Always it was too far away or not in the right position or light. Tuesday last that changed. C&C welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

I'm sure you've got these birds on contract Joe. Three stunning shots. All with the 70-300mm I guess. I keep telling myself that I need a much longer lens before I can achieve decent wildlife shots and then you produce this sort of quality. The first one is just excellent.

Absolutely great, Joe. First two are strongest, for pose, expression, separation from background, and crystal sharpness. Just achieving one bird shot like those two would be thrilling for me.

Re: Eastern Meadowlark
Hi Joe ,they are suberp! How did you manage to shoot them with a 70-300 lens.Birds usually fly away easily.

Re: Eastern Meadowlark
Beautiful images, as always. And what an adorable and very inquisitive looking bird.
I love them all, the first two are perfection but my favourite is actually the 3rd image simply because he/she is looking up with such intense curiosity at something. Perhaps a nest of worms? Aside... I find the bokeh on the top half of the image just a little soft as compared to the grass in the foreground.
