I posted an Eagle like this in a comp.
I probably should have posted this one but it wouldn't have mattered the competition was much better.

thanks for viewing. All c&c welcomed.

Try posting without the watermark. I'm not saying that's why you didn't win, but some may find it distracting and it could possibly lower your score.

Well I didn't win because there was at least 5 or 6 images in that comp that were very good. Congrats to Jeff with his Tranformation Image. Truly a winner.

Great photo James
Only thing I would suggest might be a bit of selective toning down on the white areas of the bird.

Hi, James. The one in the comp was a stronger image for the bird itself IMO. This one has a cleaner BG. I agree toning down the highlights a bit might be an improvement. Do you shoot these guys around a TVA lake?

Thank you guys. These Eagles are found feeding at the tailwaters of the Douglas lake Dam. Seems like I find them fishing during the coldest months, they are plentiful. Now and through summer more hit and miss, I think it has something to due with them nesting.
Thanks Nandkumar. I think you can still view it in mini comp no. 1880.

Beautiful image, James. Both! I agree with Dan, and also with Nandakumar
.
I recently tested out some of my low light swans to see how I'm doing with low light birds, and the image that my friends love a close-up of a swan and water droplets didn't do well, but I still think it is a good image (but I will keep working on my low light birds), as are your images of eagles.
