    Black and Green

A second in the tulip series.

    Black and Green

Should I take out the background elements and blur across the back entirely?

    C&C welcome

That frame doesn't, in any way, help the image. It could use a bit more background on the left side.
To your question, I like the background as is and it is a very nice image.

Hi Ian, the background is fine for my tastes but I find the subject to be a bit tight in the frame. If you have the pixels, you might try leaving just a bit more space around the tulip. Cheers!

Background is nice,I said 'WOW!' when I saw the image.I would try a thinner frame for a more spacious look

Nice. I don't see anything wrong with the current background.

Beautiful color, clarity, and nice use of DOF. I agree with John about the background.

    Another wonderful image, Ian.

Thanks everyone for the comments. The original certainly has more space around it.

I shall try and find time to recompose it and re-post the result.

(without the heavy frame it would seem….just one of a number of experiments I was playing with).
