    Hi Brian,

    An interesting fella with a marvellous hairstyle. Unfortunately you have got the focus so we cant see his head and face sharp.

    If you took this using the tripod I suggest it's a good example of how your present set-up is not going to work in getting the focus where you need it. Have you considered a focus rail as an aid, it's going to be your best bet, apart from a new camera.

    Hand held with a stick. The problem was that he was in a U shape. I knew I would miss out on something so I concentrated on the mustaches.

    You need to start learning 'caterpillar' then so you can coax them into the right plane for max DoF

    Nice shot Brian, I like the detailed markings and mustachios, if he was moving you might have been able to get him all in focus. Such it is when your studio is a leaf, everything cant be perfect.

    true enough but the rent is reasonable.
