Snowflakes
So after many failed attempts, I finally managed to capture a snowflake.
Still a lot of work to do, but I am making progress.
This was shot with a 50mm lens, a reverse ring and a 55mm extension tube. 40 images were stacked but I def needed more to get proper depth of field.

Re: Snowflakes
Wow, that is quite an accomplishment. How in the world did you get 40 shots in without the snowflake blowing away or melting?

Frank:
I used an old wool mitt to capture it. The shots were taken handheld so there was no need to readjust things. Just moved the camera back and forth approx 2mm while snapping as many shots as I could.

Believe it or not Ron I saw a thing just the other day explaining this technique! But I sure didn't see anything as nice as this one Ron!
Nice job!

Re: Snowflakes
Impressive Ron. 40 shots handheld over 2mm that's some control.
