    Tomb it may concern

This is Lord Hungerford, we have a village names after him. It appears he died in battle as his feet are on top of the dog, if the dog sits on his feet means he died at home.

This is Salisbury cathedral, you can make a donation to go in here unlike York where they demand £10!!!

Not one of my best pictures, this is the prisoners of concience window.

Lastly I had to wait ages to get this shot, people kept wandering across just as the shutter was about to go off. Does anyone else have that problem?

    Nice, very nice

"Lastly I had to wait ages to get this shot, people kept wandering across just as the shutter was about to go off. Does anyone else have that problem?" All the time. We have a lot of problems with the "me" generation here.

Good thing that there are solutions to solve those problems

    1. Wide angle lenses let you step in front of these folks and keep them out of the exposure;

    2. If (not always possible) you can shoot with a tripod and use a very long exposure, they might not even show up in the image; and

    3. There is a post-processing solution that I use a lot. I take a series of shots (tripod preferred, but hand-held works too) where I merge the files in Photoshop and use several layers to ensure that I have a part of the scene people free.

Nice images... Great information about the significance of the dog.

Are the images (especially #1) tilted a bit down to the image right?

Louise mentioned, "Lastly I had to wait ages to get this shot, people kept wandering across just as the shutter was about to go off. Does anyone else have that problem?"

I have not had that problem since I learned that this anti-tree filter could be used as an "anti-person" filter. Now for some reason, I am having problems with police in my images...

Even if they do show up, the people will generally show motion that can actually enhance the image if you like that style.

Same here in Missouri, Mark -- it starts here at our basement where the youngest denizen specie lives...and breathe.

Anyway, I like your series, but is it just me? -- when I looked at #2 I feel constricted by the shape going to the top of the shot? I don't know how to express this...can someone help me please and look at her shot longer than 2 seconds. I am sure this can be corrected with PP...

    Nice series Louise.

I recall being dragged around this cathedral a number of times when I was young by my parents. That was in the days when Sunday outings and visits were the done thing and we walked everywhere

I seen one of these axes at the Tower of London.

Thanks for your comments, I am using fast stone which I am slowly getting used to.

I might suggest for #1 to select the windows behind the knight and to reduce the brightness just a tad.

Isabell ... the use of the perspective tool can fix such shots but you often loose the edges of the photo so it is also worth taking two shots over lapping in the middle.... correct perspective by the same amount for each shot and then stitch them together.
Paint Shop Pro has a tool called 'Warp Mesh' which can sort it out too... But this only needs perspective tool.
