    Gallary: photo tests

I have a few gallaries that I want to share and here is the first one. Its less about the subject of the photo and more about the effects. It was just a quick 10 minute test for shooting in RAW for the first time and playing with the photos in ACDSEE

I also played around with my polarized filter.

I would love to hear some post-processing tips when working with RAW images to achieve a natural look.
Otherwise, I will be posting some other gallaries in the weeks to come of better subject

    thanks!

How are you uploading these images? At 120 pixels they aren't sufficiently large for a proper viewing.

    Have a guess :)

We really need these to be 10 times as wide and 10 times as high - ie 100 times the size they are now.

My STRONG encouragement is to not use the CiC attachment system - instead, post them somewhere (eg Facebook, Flickr, Pbase etc) and then link back to them here.

Well if I copy that link then paste I eventually get to some images which are a little too large to view on my screen (4000 pixels on longest edge).

Some are OK but as you said the subject had problems.

Nothing excessively wrong with the editing as far as I can tell. Possibly before and after shots would be useful.

If you want general advice about Raw edit workflow I would suggest starting by reading the CinC Tutorials then move on to this:

Ps. I find images around 800 to 1200 pixels on the long side are a convenient size for direct posting here either as direct links or uploaded with the Tinypics option.

Thanks - I didn't see that when looking on TapaTalk.

Sorry, but the OP really needs to make the effort to learn to post them here - at a good size; I doubt folks will be particularly interested until that happens.

Additionally, if TinyPix is used, it'll down-sample them to 1599px if needed.

Thanks I'll keep that in mind for future reference. Before and aftershots were there just not labeled.

Thats fine with me. If they're no interested than neither am I. The internet doesn't need a thousand clones of the same image. I already have it hosted somewhere and I will leave it there.

I don't think "the internet" really cares to be honest.

All I'm saying is that if you want people to make an effort to help you, you need to make the effort to help them help you.

    All the best.
