I like the blue.....here the heavy part of the boat seen in the foreground affects the enjoyment of the subtle blue horizon behind...... I also feel the white border needs be minimized???

    Regards

Contrasting this presentation with Daisy Mae's landscape where the border seems to suit the soft tones of the subject here the wide border is fighting with the image for attention. A thin white border, about half of what you need for the text, but leaving enough for the text across the bottom. With a 50 pixel dark border [64/255] makes for a very nice presentation.

An interesting photo as I remember the place as quite undeveloped when as a tourist I briefly went across the causeway in the early sixties.

My new daughter-in-law was born and raised in Johor. She is now married to my son and is an Australian. We are visiting them in a forthnight. That was a very nice shot btw...the blues are all complementary.

There is always a sunset. A traditional one is nice, a blue one is also nice. Actually you made it very very nice.

    Hi Isabel,
Thanks for viewing and your feedback. So nice to hear your new daughter in-law was born in Johor Malaysia. Singapore is just across the causeway from Johor. If you happen to be here, please PM me. We can meet up for cup of coffee and I ll bring you to the place where I shot the blue hour.

    Hi Nandakumar,
Thks for viewing and your feedback. Btw, the foreground is a metal railing with wooden handrail and not the boat as you thought.

There is this bridge that connects Malaysia to Singapore. Is this the causeway you are talking about? My DIL used to work at KPMG. She has a master's degree in Accountancy. I like the food over there, street foods, markets, people .....hmmmm.....that will be a good photo op!! In 11 days the Chinese New Year will be good to shoot too...BTW, my DIL was born in Malaysia but both her parents are Chinese.

Yes, you are absolute right. That is the bridge connecting Singapore to Johor Malaysia we called Woodlands Checkpoint and the other on the west side is called Tuas Second Link adjacent to Raffles Marina Country Club.
