    Project 2014 by Letrow

I am starting this thread in 2014 out of a certain necessity. So far this year I have been uninspired and actually think it isn't that bad to have let the camera be for a while.
I did look through my 2013 thread and still like what I did there. It provides me with a nice overview of my thoughts and (personal) experiments during the year.
I also didn't go onto the forum for a while. It began to feel like something that I had to do each day, too much like a duty and that wasn't good. It needs to feel fresh and new again.
It's not about the photography itself, I love that. Always have, always will. But I became a bit bored with what I was producing and I am still thinking through that. In the end I just have to pull myself together I guess and spend some time with the camera instead of letting it go to waste on music, books, cooking, family and last but NOT least...work.
Wintertime in the Netherlands: 9 Celsius and everything looks grey and dull. Might have something to do with the mood that I am in. A nice snowstorm would be inspirational now.

    To be continued

It has mostly been dull, wet and windy here, Peter, so I have done little in the way of photography so far this year, just like you.

But then, when we do get the occasional brighter day, I feel that I must make the most of a few bright hours and get out there!

However, I'm retired now so I can just nip off when the weather/mood takes me. Otherwise it would have been a struggle to find suitable and inspiring subjects.

At least the evenings are starting to get lighter now, if only the cloud would let us see some sky!

Peter, I can't tell what this is, but that's the beauty of it for me. I keep exploring the image trying to discover what it is, what the different objects are, and what I can find in the reflections. Very intriguing and well captured.

Same for me as Sergio Is it a reflection or are there some reflections on it? It is like a puzzle, but I like it very much, nice colours, not too bright at all to view..

Works as an abstract for me - has a great composition, a nice suite of hues, and a great set of interacting patterns, and for some reason seems 3-D. So, easy to contemplate and enjoy.
