Through a Plumbers eyes (Project 52)

Not to worry, these will NOT be "work related" photos! I am strictly a sub-amateur when it comes to photography but I learn something every time I take my camera out. I do not have a goal to become a professional photographer, I just want to continue to improve my skills in this hobby that I love. My camera relaxes me, with camera in-hand I am in my own little world and nothing else around me matters.

OK, enough about me. For this project I have chosen, with the help of an internet site, a theme for every week. Your comments are always welcomed, the good, bad & ugly truth.
(I actually started this project at the beginning of the year so I will play a little catch-up)
    Week 1; Self Portrait

This is in honor of New Years Eve

Week 2: 52 steps from my front door.

Thanks to Mother Nature for dumping 12+ inches of fresh snow on us and making everything look so beautiful

    Week 3: Food

I kinda dropped the ball on this week and had to come up with something at the last minute. This was what I was snacking on at the time.

Cannot fault anything -- they are all nice shots. I like the humor on #1 best.

Good on you, Jon. Go for it.

By the way, have never come across Cinnamon Whisky before. What's that like?

ps - Glad to see that whisky is spelt the 'proper' way.

Donald, This ought to be an interesting project, I am looking forward to it.

Cinnamon Whisky is kinda like soaking some "Red Hot" candy (cinnamon flavored hard candy) in a glass of decent whisky giving you a sort of sweet hot flavor. I like it on the rocks or just straight up

Week #4 - The color Purple
What the hell was I thinking?? Purple...in January...around here??? If this was to hit in spring or summer i would have no problem coming up with something purple, my wife has all sorts of flowering plants in multiple shades of purple. But in January when there is 15" of snow on the ground it makes it awful tough to find anything in a shade of purple.
Well, after considerable thought I did find one thing, other than the huge bruise on my backside from falling on the ice, that was purple. Not real interesting but it is purple at least.

#1 was one of the first shots of this series and I really liked how the 11 ball had just sat there with very little movement. I tried and tried to get the same effect in the shots that followed but had absolutely no luck

Indeed...very creative billiard shots, Jon. It makes me wish to try this cinnamon whisky and see if it works on improving my imagination level too! Cheers,
