Great shots Dan. Nice work with difficult exposures. Love the dogs eyes. She's a beaut !!
I love your images of that beautiful Grace. What an appropriate name for a gorgeous dog!
Nice shots.
Nice captures Dan of a beautiful dog!
Thanks, folks. I'll pass on the compliments to Grace. Though I think she already gets plenty of feedback from her mom on how pretty she is.
Izzie, a friend of mine describes dogs as kids that never grow up. I think that fits well.
I didn't notice until now with these two photos side by side how different the WB is in the two. In the running shot I used the LR tool and balance the snow to true white. I processed the portrait in PSE and simply adjusted visually. The portrait looks more like her true colors. The snow still looks a bit blue but colors on dog and collar look true. The running shot appears to have too much yellow/green tint to the browns.
More fuel for the WB debate....
Gorgeous images of Grace. Of course, I especially adore the 1st image and I hope to be able to expose properly for a shot like this one day.
White balance... In the 1st image Grace's eyes are more golden and more of a dark reddish brown in the second image.
Thanks for the comments, Christina. I went back and worked the portrait in LR and tweaked the WB on the running shot. All I did was to be a bit more careful what I picked as "neutral" with the picker tool. The LR version of the portrait looks more natural. The eyes are truer color and the orange collar looks much more accurate. Here it is.
Doing my usual catch-up on your threads, Dan. Love the pics! Really beautiful and cute pup, I like her "cowbell"![]()
