Aw c'mon Kay, how about some camels at sunset !
To be perfectly honest, dragonflies don't interest me that much but I have to say that these are good shots (and they need to be viewed in Lightbox to get the best view too). I particularly like the blue one and the third which has wonderful detail.

If I ever dream of chasing beautiful elusive flighty things around a pool I am sure dragonflies would not immediately spring to mind.
The colour of the first one is dramatic but the depth of field is a bit shallow but top marks for nailing the focus of the lovely eyes even if they have no lashes. It is not hard to understand why #3 is so popular. The effort cropping or cloning out the dark arc on the bottom left would probably pay dividends. The lighting on the last one is a bit harsh but there is some nice detail in the wings.
