Here is the back story.
In a nutshell, the Osprey had missed a few fish and chose the mast of my boat to dry off. Since she wasn't eating and dropping bits on the boat I just left it alone. If she is eating, I usually just slap the standing rigging a few times and she flies off to a quieter table. The Mockingbird was quite offended at my inaction. It had a nest in a tree across the canal that needed protecting.
The Osprey didn't seem to mind, just watched the bird until she was dry enough to fly off and hunt again.
