Happy New Year ... from a wet and windy Scotland

    Bliadhna mhath ùr

The whole world is now well into 2014, so a very happy new year to everyone in the CiC community. I hope the year brings you all you need and your wishes are fulfilled.

I've just spent a few days in the beautiful Scottish Borders region (that's the border with England). But it rained. And then it rained again. And then it rained some more. You get the picture!

Anyway, that didn't stop the intrepid photographer. This sums up pretty accurately what it was like for most of the time. But, take my word, it's not always as wet and gloomy.

    Yes it is.

Why would you lay yourself open to a law suit like that???!!!

Hope the tree makes it back up the hill and that you got wellies for the new tripod.

The image makes me want to continue on and see what's beyond the horizon.

    All the best in 2014.

And I wouldn't have seen this picture if I hadn't had the same curiousity. It would have been easier to turn back (me and my dog had already walked for for over an hour in the rain and wind), but I wanted to see what was over the next rise.

Happy and prosperous New Year Donald. I would say keep warm and dry, but I know how much you like those vile, wet, cloudy days for your photography. I just can't bring myself to wish anyone A Crappy and Wet New Year

May your new year bring you less gloom and a plethora of satisfying image opportunities.

You know Donald, although I am sincere in my wishes for you, I just realized how much that sounds like a fortune cookie insert!

I suppose the picture above sort of expresses what the second part of 2013 has been like for us!

And a very happy new wet new year to you and to all. It is only -28 F here with a wind chill factor of -38 F as felt on exposed skin! I am glad for all my freinds on CC and the warmth they provide. Warmest wishes!
