Online printing in the UK for delivery

Hi All,


A friend has asked if I could arrange an image printing for him.

As I live in The Netherlands and he lives in the UK I was looking for a good company where I could upload the image and have the print shipped to him.

Does anybody have any suggestions where I could have this done?

I would like to send it either A3 or A4.

Also next May I would need a wedding album done so preferably the same company so I can check the print quality before I arrange the album or would you suggest not to use an online company for a wedding album?

This is the image below.

Can anybody advise if they would print the image as it is or would you change the editing and what would be the best way to export from Lightroom for online printing.

I have used Photobox www.photobox.co.uk/‎ for printing. The prices are reasonable and the results, of the admittedly few prints I have had done, are good.

I have only sent jpeg files for printing and just now my connection to the internet is very slow so I can't check which other formats they accept.

Somebody else suggested Photobox so I'll have a look there.

I think I'll lower the saturation a little first and see how it turns out.

Hi Gary,

if I'm not too late I would also recommend PhotoBox.

I use PhotoBox for a lot of general purpose printing. I've ordered many large prints up to 30"x45" (76cm x 114cm) without a single complaint (I print most small work myself). A fair number of my clients also order from PhotoBox via my site and they have always been happy.

I have also ordered hundreds of calendars and other products and been perfectly satisfied, with only one exception. I received an order for calendars in two different batches just before Christmas a couple of years ago and there was a clear difference in the quality between the two batches. I complained to PhotoBox immediately and after sending them photos of the printing defects in the bad batch they got a replacement batch to me in 3 days without quibble. So in my experience even if you are unlucky enough to have issues their customer service is very good.
