Brian,
Your reds are a bit over the top here. Not sure if you are able to make adjustments to individual colour channels with your software but a reduction in hue and brightness of the red channel really helps.

You know us naturalist types. In real life the reds are a lot redder. it is a very gaudy flower. red is red enough to hurt the eyes.
