That's probably another reason! At my age and level of fitness, that, if tried, could have very serious consequences.

As always, I am drawn into you images and this one is no exception. The composition works very well for me and I would do nothing to change that, heck, I would do nothing to the image at all. I like it very much just as it is. Except for that little dust spot that was pointed out earlier

Nice image Donald - I find it is usually more fun to take a picture of a hill than to walk up it.

    Hi Donald,

Sorry to be the Christmas grinch, but for me, the image just doesn't contain anything interesting. I can see how you've use the Vari-ND to get some cloud movement, but there's no real "drama" in them (no contrast). The trees & slope do anchor the shot somewhat, but again, I don't feel that they're enough to contribute anything significant.

    Sorry!

Just after taking this, I walked up through the field to those trees and then into the field that lies above them. Got a couple of pictures. None of them will be in the top 12 for the year, but they're reasonably decent stock images for my portfolio of my local community.

No problems. The whole purpose in posting is to encourage constructive criticism. I always learn when such criticism is offered.

I too want to go to the trees. very nice image Donald. My first thought was too much sky, But after looking a bit longer I think it adds to the mystery.
