Northern Mocking Bird



Loggerhead Shrike, also know as the Butcher Bird. This bird has an interesting habit of impaling it's prey upon a sharp object ( such as a barbed wire fence or long thorn ) to hold it while it eats.

All gorgeous. My favourite being the Eastern Pheobe for the gorgeous background and the curved branch (aside from the bird)...

Indeed the beautiful loggerhead shrike seem to be in a bit of a mood... (ie; it's expression matches your story)
