    Yellow Submarine

I think that this must the Muppets version as it looks to be too small for The Beatles to use!

    Yellow Submarine

This was taken at Universal Studios, Orlando, FL. My goal was to tone down the background so that it wouldn't overwhelm the details of the submarine. To make the changes selectively on just the background, I used Layers and Masking in Photoshop CS5.

I think I hear someone humming a Beatles tune?

    Sorry sir,
This time the image fails to convey anything; further it is too busy and distracting to focus anywhere
    Regards

PS: Hope you don't take it in a negative sense

I am wondering about what the US Consumer Product Safety Commission had to say about this one. Looks a bit dicey to me.

I suppose Nandakumar and Rob have a point if this is supposed to be a work of art as art. But as a piece of imaging intended to tell a story, I think it is set up about right.

I like your honesty Nandakumar. It indeed is busy and difficult to focus on like the confusion sometimes found in eclectic art. This is displayed in the KidZone section of Universal Studios, Florida. I suspect the divergent elements and bright colors appeal mostly to children that just love to explore such things to stir their unbounded imaginations.

I agree Rob but any attempt I made to further tone down the gregarious vibrancy of amusement park's background tended to kill the realism and render the image a bit flat. I'm not sure that there is a good method unless it might be to further defocus the background.

I certainly wouldn't want to go to sea in this contraption! Well, at lest not at my age. If I were a six-year old, however......

I suppose a crop from the right side would help to strengthen the main subject. But that might mean going for a different size ratio; although a little could be lost from top and bottom if essential.

I think you are correct Geoff. That would certainly tone down the green post which would help reduce the impact of one of the elements drawing the eye away!
