    ?.... You've confused me again Brian, if you hadn't told me what it was i would never have guessed, now that you have..im even more confused ...this is soooo different to your image of green critter with reflection in water.

    Remember..try make your subject the main point of interest (Thats where image of green critter shone for you...Is shone even the right word?)...by doing so , you'll notice the way you photograph will also change, you'll pay more attention to whats in the viewfinder.

    Keep shooting.. thats where the fun is

    But would it have been any less confusing without the beauty of the leaves in the background?

    Your capture is OK if you did not say it was the 'either' end/or front of a jumping spider. I like the colours and the rest of it without the mention of 'your' spider. I still think it is nice though...especially if you got the spider in.
