Any chance of telling us the EXIF of this shot, Jack? I suspect your metering is in matrix...have you tried changing it to either spot or center-weighted? Just asking...
Hi Isabel,
I save the images as TIFFs and apparently it strips the EXIF. It was indeed in matrix (how can you tell?)

Everything in the shot are very sharp...from front to back...btw, you got a beautiful doggie. Doggies are very good at posing -- I know, I got three of them at the moment, through no fault of my own. I'd like to learn more of portrait photography but lack of human victims made me experiment with our dogs. 'Must be an animal in my last life...or been cruel with them so I am being punished for having three.![]()
Thanks Isabel. I managed to take the shot when she stopped for a quick breather. Otherwise she's non-stop running around.
Great looking Golden Doodle! I marvel at the different coat styles of Golden Doodles, from the curly poodle to the wavy Golden Retriever style. Throw in the different Labradoodle coat styles and you have quite a range of Doodle coats...
My doodle, Holly, just returned from the beauty parlor so it's time for me to take a few more shots. I have been remiss lately in photographing my own dogs.
How did you end up with a Doodle? We had a Golden Retriever, German Shepherd, Wolf, cross who was a wonderful dog but shed bushel baskets of hair just about all year long. After she passed away, we wanted a dog with many Golden Retriever characteristics but, with less shedding. We have had our Holly for five years now and love her dearly. She is just about a perfect dog. Have you been to the Doodlekisses website? www.doodlekisses.com
I love Goldens but a friend had to put his 6 year old down due to cancer(s) (sadly not uncommon). My brother has a standard poodle which is amazingly cunning. I thought the best of both worlds would be best, and I discovered Goldendoodles. Mine is in a league of her own. And her coat...it's like she's wearing a sweater backwards. Can't wait for summer when we hit the beach, she was just getting into the ocean come end of last summer so I suspect this year it'll be tough to keep her on dry land.
Thanks Stephanie.
Great pose! Congratulations on partnering with such a young attractive being.
Thanks Mark.
It took Holly a few tries before she would swim in our pool but, now she loves it. We have the pool gated from the rest of our property in order to keep the Maltese safe. One time, Holy learned to open the gate and enter the pool area and we found her relaxing away from the heat by lying in our pool's first step...
We have changed the latch on the pool gate and I don't think she will be able to open this one...
Doodles are cunning; remember the scene in Jurassic Park when they were feeding the velociraptors? That's doodles, at least that's my doodle.
Jack...

Richard,
You have my admiration beyond words for the work you do. I unabashedly did not adopt a rescue dog, instead I got her from a breeder, whom I met, met the parents, met the litter at 4 weeks, and then claimed my baby at 9 weeks.
