I'm a big motorsports fan and appreciate how difficult it is to convey the trackside experience to the uninitiated. I think you've done a fine job of capturing the sense of speed and skill required in close competition of this nature. Looking forward to seeing more of your work. Where were you shooting from; the perspective is dramatic?

Hey Kim - I'm not a professional sports photographer, and I rarely shoot moving cars, but may I offer a suggestion?
Try shooting in Tv, AI Servo. I think that Auto has caused you some focus issues here. I thought at first that maybe you were just shooting a little slow for that length lens, but you should be able to hold a sharp focus at 1/400. Then, I saw you were shooting in Auto.
It's only a suggestion - I think you've done a reasonably good job - probably better than I'd get. But mucked up focus due to Auto, is so easily avoidable.

Andrew, thank you!! I had that set at one time and then for some reason changed it, and never remembered to set it back!! Thank you so much for telling me, that will be a great help later!
