Underwater Images with Fibre Optic Snoots

I have made a set of fibre optic snoots for my strobes to try and get a different effect.

Basically you direct the light from your strobe along some fibre optic cable onto your subject so what this does is enable you to precisely place the light on your subject.

This is very useful when diving in poor visibility waters where you get a lot of crud etc showing up in the image when using strobes.

Anyway here are the results - comments welcomed.

Karl, great use of fiber optics with equally great results. Stunning images.

I like what you do but don't they look somewhat less sharp then your previous shots?

Possibly - but that would be more to do with the conditions - i.e. bit of a current etc - than the snoots. Plus I shot at a slightly slower shutter speed of 1/80 so again that may have something to do with it but overall I am happy with the results.
