Re: Wine Glasses -- a slightly different composition
[QUOTE=Mike Buckley;360208]Though these compositions are traditional in that all of the wine glasses are separated from each other, I like that the top of the tall glass isn't included in the photos.
Does it bother you that the last two photos don't include the entire base of the glasses in front?
I agree with you Mike - I like that the top of the tall glass isn't included but yes, I am bothered by not having the full base in the last two - don't know why though. I am sure there are some experts out there who will know the technical reason (if there is one)
Great shots though, as ever.

Very nice, crisp tones. You need a challenge like some water spots.

Re: Wine Glasses -- a slightly different composition
I reshot the last two images using the same concept but executed differently. I like these two versions much better. Lesson learned!

Re: Wine Glasses -- a slightly different composition
I second what Kaye said! Let us know when and where
But seriously, I like the revised #2 best. For some reason the bulbous glass in the center looks inordinately large and really grounds the image IMHO. The revised #3 is great too but I prefer the rounds central glass.

Re: Wine Glasses -- a slightly different composition
Thank you to Kaye and Shane. I prefer the revised #2 the best also because the round glass in the middle takes up more space in the upper area. Another way of saying that is the dead space in that area of the revised #3 is a little less compelling to me.
