That is a wonderful image_
The first thing that came into my head (and it is a compliment) was - what a superb jigsaw puzzle that would make.
It's got vitality and energy. It's busy. But yet that Ferris Wheel give us a solid anchor point on which to focus attention. The tone-mapping adds in a bit of a surreal quality for me which, in this case (but not everytime) strengthens the image. And teh sky is great (good processing to bring that out).
I like it.
Thank you Christopher for a great image and some good memories. I used to be up there at least once a month.
A busy photo which works really well - so many don't so well done. I would crop some off the left of the photo as I don't like the empty road in all the busy - ness and it would get rid of the tower crane which seems to be the only structure that shouldn't be there - this is a very personal opinion though.
Terrific composition! Try applying a slight S-curve to it to increase the contrast in the mid tones. Though I don't subscribe to the belief that all images should have pop, I think pop complements this particular style of image very nicely. Without the contrast in the mid-tones, you'll not achieve pop in this photo.
I also like this image very much. However a bit of rotation to level the horizon and a bit of increased contrast, saturation and a bit of increased structure might bring it up a couple of notches...
Leave it to a foreigner to capture an image in my neck of the woods that I have never thought of and captured it wonderfully . Nice Work. Soon this entire elevated road will be gone and replaced by a tunnel that is being bored as I type. Should be a much nicer waterfront in the future.

Very nice revision, Christopher. I'm surprised that I like the dramatically increased warmth but I do.
