    Some sheep are smart

We have some very smart sheep in New Zealand. They work on green pastures with fantastic views. I wish my working conditions were as pleasant but I do get a bit cheered up in the knowledge that I prefer my diet.

Sharp and colourful images. I find that sheep in a landscape setting can so easily cause over exposure of the sheep. But these have all worked well.

I am pretty certain the sheep are far more relaxed about their diet than they are about yours - I can just hear them bleating about it. (You started it )

Well that's interesting, Kiwi's joking about sheep ! Let's hope we don't get any uncouth Aussies joining in with jokes about Kiwis and sheep.

Dave I have been informed by impeccable sources that Matilda was a sheep that all Aussies either sing about or wanted to dance with but I usually do not mention it in an effort to keep our dear neigbours from embarrassment. I also usually refrain from mentioning rugby and cricket (one for your sake and the other for my sake).

That's very kind of you L.Paul. I steer clear of talking about rugby and Kiwis in the same sentence but right now I'm happy to talk about cricket all day, if only I could get a Pom to listen !

Good shots, Paul. You could probably sell them to a New Zealand glamour magazine

Thank you Greg I suspect your amazing idea for marketing the photographs is as misguided as trying to sell them a photo of Quade Cooper.

What really worries me is my son and his family are going to live in Sydney in January and my wife will make me go there at least twice a year. I have no idea what dreadful crime I have committed that will mean I have to serve time in Australia.

Don't tell anyone, but when I was there for four days about 20 years ago it was actually quite nice there!

haha. A few more earth quakes and New Zealand will be the new Atlantis. Don't worry though, Paul, there are already more kiwis in Australia than New Zealand so when you are forced to evacuate, you will be right at home here.

Quite a colourful character was Sir Piggy. He didn't think much of Trevor Chappel's underarm bowling in the World Series Cricket of 1981 either - "it was an act of true cowardice and I consider it appropriate that the Australian team were wearing yellow".

LOL - I was in the Air Force at the time. We had an Australian plane arrive and I marshaled it in using cricket bats. Crew got out and bowled a ball to me ...

    ... underarm of course!

    You must be a non-veggie...
    Nice landscapes btw.

Doing white objects in bright conditions and trying to keep the darker regions within exposure is a skill that I have been trying to master. You did well here.
