It is interesting for everybody calling things by their names. Users can say 'door' when they mean 'table', but this doesn't make a table be a door.
There is no problem with people using HDR software to do something that has no link to dynamic range, the problem is most of them don't know this. This section is called 'High Dynamic Range', and the OP titled his post 'New idea for HDR'.

I agree; but when does it become HDR? I think a dslr can manage 11 ev span but mostly 4 ev of it is used to avoid posturization, and above 7 ev noise makes shadows difficult to raise. So something could be called HDR if it has above 7 ev span but intuitively I think HDR starts at above 9 ev span.
