Gorgeous image. The beacon on the left side is a nice touch without being distracting.

What is causing the halo on the rocks near the beacon? I doubt that it's the result of too much sharpening because I know you're sensitive to that and because I don't see any evidence of it anywhere else. Regardless of the cause, I wonder if you would like the image even better if you could eliminate that brightness.

Thanks for the comments, everyone. I was a little disappointed that the sun decided not to show itself after three hours of driving through mud and dust to get here. My car was not happy either.

I added the light on the left on purpose hoping it would add to the composition. I also decided to leave the rock on the bottom left untouched. Anyone think it's distracting because it is brighter than the others? As for the haloing, Mike, I didn't notice that while editing. I did not sharpen at all, so I don't know what may have caused it.

    Thanks!

The rock in the lower left corner doesn't bother me at all, perhaps because it points to the rest of the scene. Though it is brighter overall than the other rocks, its brightest spots are no brighter than the brightest spots in other areas of the image. (To verify that, open your Curves tool and hover the mouse pointer over the various bright spots. Your Curves tool may provide the capability to display the relative brightness if not the luminance value of each pixel.)

Your car should be exceptionally happy now that its paint job is thoroughly protected. At least that's my wife's excuse for never getting her car washed.
