Murat this shot has wonderful mood. I like the way the sharp tower stands in stark contrast to the hazy background of the city. The colour of the sky is lovely too.

I like the composition just as it is, because the sky is a huge part of it. All that drama and color contrasts nicely with the silhouetted mosque.

I'd try the tighter crop just to see, though. I'm guessing you'll like the original better.

By a strange coincidence I was watching a programme on the television last night about the Ottomans. Guess what showed up in the views of Istanbul but the Maiden's Tower. I had to pause the programme, grab my tablet and show my wife how it could REALLY look when a 'tog gets to work.

Thanks for the comment, sir. This tower is very popular indeed, bith with locals and tourists alike. The day I went to shoot this, I could hardly find a good location. Photographers of all ages had already taken their spots.

Although the tower isn't all that pretty, its location and hidtory continue to appeal to many.
