Wonderful images, as always! I love the pose of the Anhinga... My favourites are the female Grackle, #2 (Kingfisher.. everywhere these days), the peacock butterfly (love the background and DOF) and the alligator for the environment and detail... beautifully photographed. Female Grackle is stunning.

Hello Tim, thank you for viewing and commenting. Get closer... do you know how fast these guys can move in the summer when warm... faster than this seventy year old can run. I used my 450mm to the maximum.

Hi, Joe. Very nice series. All nicely captured and PP'ed. The female Boat-tailed Grackle is a "print and hang" image, IMHO.

    Thanks for sharing.

These images are amazing. Why is it that whenever I try to photograph birds like that they hide behind bushes, turn their backs or fly off like World War 1 fighter pilots trying to dodge bullets?

I would be interested to know how much post processing was done to the backgrounds.
