Not Sure About This One

I took this shot a couple of weeks ago and have been vacillating over it ever since. The first version is the one I set out to achieve. The sky looked promising for a nice sunset but in the end the colour was not that great. I have pushed the reds up a fair bit to try and add a bit of "pop". I intentionally included the railing to add some foreground interest and provide a leading line but I'm not sure whether this is effective or not. So I tried a B&W conversion and I also tried a version with the railing removed.

Do any of these shots work better than the others ? Or should they all be consigned to the trash can ?

The railing doesn't work for me as a leading line. I prefer #3.

I'm going to say number 3 as well. The rail leads me out of the photo not into it.

My vote for the color, sans railing. I really like the magenta in the sky, and don't think the railing was interesting enough to include unless it really directed our sight line, which it doesn't.

Thanks everybody for your comments. I think they indicate that my reservations about the first image were well founded. So the railing is gone ! There is nothing like some fresh eyes to sort things out quickly.
