    High Res Monitor

I finally saved enough dimes and nickels to purchase a high resolution monitor. Actually the prices on them aren't all that crazy any more. My video card limited me to 2560x1440 so I got a Dell 27in. All I can say is, it's a whole new world

I new it would make a difference but wasn't prepared for just how dramatic a difference it would be. I haven't calibrated it yet. Can't stop staring at it long enough to do so...

    Dan,

Congrats on your new toy/tool - depends upon your PoV

    What did you have before?
I moved from 17/19" CRT to 23" LCD a while back now (1920 x 1080) and that was a nice surprise too.

    Enjoy,

I was already using a 23 in. Samsung 1920x1080. I love that monitor but wanted the additional space for photo editing and the ability to rotate it into vertical format. I was pleasantly surprised by how much better it looks in general. Or maybe it's just in my mind trying to justify the cost to myself...
