I thank you for sharing those images for the sights that most of us will never see.
A macro lens for underwater images...interesting.
Question...does AF work correctly underwater or is it manual focus?

PS, you should save one for our monthly challenge.

Educational, Karl. You should create a gallery on the web and post a link to it.

Yes - I only ever use auto focus (dodgy eye sight ) and the Oly 60mm macro is an excellent lens especially with the EM-5.

I also use at time as 'macro wet lens' which screws onto the front of my housing to give extra magnification as required.

It does, but it's interesting how it differs below water, to above, especially when using a wide angle or fish eye lens with a dome port. It takes some people a little while to get their head around the concept.

The dome port itself offers no optical changes above water. Underwater however, it collects a wide array of light and focuses to a point behind the glass/acrylic of the dome, creating a 'virtual image'. When focusing in your view finder, the camera is actually only focusing on this virtual image inches away from the front of the lens.

Here's a bit of an article on it, if anyone wants to bore themselves:

    http://www.marinewildlife.co.uk/wisscms-en-243.aspx

This isn't an issue with the macro photos that Karl has posted - as he's using a flat port which doesn't distort where the light is directed, hence not creating a 'virtual image'.

Great shots by the way, Karl!!
