I found the subject really interesting, but (apart from waiting for an opportunity wthout the ubiquitous blue anorak with Tesco Carrier and dog appearing out of nowhere) difficult to do- the black sheds merged into each other as a block and I did not know how to set the camera to get the definition of the wood laps but also not make it all too light.

#1 is post processed with an HDR lighting fix
#2 is the original with some general exposure tweaking.
#3 is an instant artist type creative filter.

Comments or suggestions how to approach this sort of subject with dark elements on a bright day welcome.

Thanks Chauncey, a bit of sky came throgh in the hdr light, but something more dramatic wold set the shed off.

Thanks tamcain, unfortunately I was just visiting whilst on on holiday, so that was really the only opportunity. I am sure that a sunrise shot would have been stunning, if I could get my head around the correct camera settings to use. It is a very interesting place, many angles for some practice and some good photographs there.
